Dr. Judy Carman:

Dr. Carman graduated in 1981 from Melbourne University. With a special interest in women’s, children’s & mental health, she also enjoys seeing people of all backgrounds having worked with overseas students at Monash University since 1997.

Dr Elham Mansourian:

Dr Eli joined our practice in 2017. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in management of complex and chronic conditions such as Diabetes, Asthma, COPD and overweight.

Dr Azadeh Khatibi:

Dr Khatibi joined our practice in 2017. She is experienced in all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in management of complex and chronic conditions.

Dr. Khurram Akhter:

Dr Akhter joined our practice in December 2015. He is an experienced General Practitioner who has a special interest in chronic disease management, musculoskeletal problems & the role of wearable technology in preventative healthcare & disease monitoring.

Dr Akhter teaches medical students of University of Melbourne. He attained high status of Fellow of Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr. Anna Finnegan:

Dr Finnegan joined our practice in June 2016. Dr Finnegan teaches medical students of University of Melbourne. She attained high status of Fellow of Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Nick Mulrenan

Dr Nick Mulrenan graduated from Imperial College London and also has a BSc in Endocrinology. He has a diploma in sexual health and family planning and is a Fellow of the Australian College of General Practitioners. Special interests include bowel and gut health including nutrition and weight management, musculoskeletal conditions, mental health and chronic disease management.

Dr Harry Perelberg:

Dr Perelberg graduated in 1972 from Melbourne University. He has been in private practice since 1974 & the Army Reserve Medical Corp. from 1987 – 1995.

Dr Sima (Tayebeh) Kazerouni:

Dr Kazerouni has achieved high status of a Fellow of Australian College of general Practitioners. Dr Sima has special interest in women’s health, chronic and complex conditions.

Prof. Harry Weisinger:

Professor Harrison Weisinger (usually referred to as “Dr. Harry”) brings with him a depth of experience within clinical practice, medical research, and academia. He holds university appointments at 4 local and international medical schools.  He has written over 50 publications, including articles appearing in Nature Medicine and Science.  He undertook clinical training in Australia at the University of Melbourne and St. Vincents Hospital.  Dr Harry is also qualified optometrist.

Dr. Harry enjoys seeing the full-scope of people presenting to general practice but also has special interests in wellness and longevity, weight loss and improving mental, physical and athletic performance through dietary manipulation and other activities.

Dr. Harry is married to Stephanie and they have 4 young children (which keeps them pretty busy!).  His personal interests include meditation, yoga, travel and cycling.

Dr Bill Woods:

Dr Bill Woods is an experienced GP. We were fortynate to have him back to our practice. Dr Woods charges privately for his services with the exception of children under 16 years old.

Dr Robert Gunawan:

Dr Gunawan has joined our practice in January 2019. We have known Dr Gunawan since his time as a medical student. Now, he is a fully qualified doctor with an understanding nature and an interest in chronic and mental health problems.

Privacy Policy/Personal Health Information:   

Your medical record is a confidential document.  It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. Copies of our Privacy Policy are placed on the front desk for patients to take home.

Wheel Chair/Pram Access:

Patients that are unable to get up the stairs will be seen by one of our doctors downstairs in one of our consulting rooms.

After-Hours & Emergency

For emergencies, please call the AMBULANCE Service on 000 or attend the Alfred Hospital, Commercial Road, Prahran.



The practice doctors perform house calls for regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery.  Please ring the practice to speak to the doctor to arrange a home-visit. Home visits are bulk-billed.


Nursing Home and Hospital Visit:

The surgery caters for patients to be seen by one of our doctors in a Nursing Home or Private Hospital.  Please ring the doctor to arrange a new Nursing Home visit.



On the 26/10/2016 this practice was awarded full quality assurance status by GPA.


Telephone Access:

Doctors in the practice may be contacted during normal surgery hours.  If the doctor is unable to take your call, a message will be taken and passed on to the doctors. In case of an emergency, your call will be put through to the doctor.


Change of personal contact details:

Please notify reception if you have had a change to your address or phone number as it is important that we have your current contact details.

Test or Procedure Results:

It is important to follow up any test results you may have.                                                                                                              Please   make an appointment to see your doctor to discuss

these results. Please allow one week for your results to return.



Other Services Available:

General practice and check-ups including counselling, treatment room for emergencies, women’s health – pap smears & pregnancy test, on-site pathology liquid nitrogen “freezing” therapy for sun spots and warts, nutrition advise & weight management, sports medicine, child vaccinations, travel medicine, minor surgery, skin checks & removal of moles and sun spots.



Our podiatrist, Carmen Franz, works every Wednesday. Her services are privately billed and may also be billed under Medicare on the EPC program. Appointments must be made.  A podiatrist deals exclusively with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical conditions of the feet and related structures in the lower limbs.


Our dietician, Samantha Stuk, consults at the practice every Wednesday afternoon. Her services are billed privately. You may be eligible for Medicare rebates on the EPC program. You must obtain a referral from your doctor if you’re eligible for this service.

Reminder Services

Our practice is committed to preventative care.  We may issue you with a reminder notice offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care.  If you do not wish to be a part of this system please let us know.

Patient Rights:

If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us. We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve them quickly and fairly.

If you remain dissatisfied with our response, you may contact the Health Complaints Commissioner (HCC). The HCC responds to complaints about health services and the handling of health information in Victoria. Their service is free, confidential and impartial. To lodge a complaint with the HCC:
